Our story began in 1883 when Swedish engineer Karl-Hilmer Johansson Kollén identified a major challenge faced by professionals: confusion caused by multiple measurement systems. To solve this, he invented a ruler that combined metric and imperial scales, simplifying work and increasing efficiency. His next breakthrough, the folding ruler, set a new industry standard, laying the foundation for what would later become Hultafors Group.
